The university originated from a good seed for the University of the Holy Quran and Islamic Sciences in Omdurman, represented by the Institute of the Holy Quran, which was opened in 1412H corresponding to 1991, at the initiative of the Holy Quran workshops in the state of Al-Jazeera. And then developed to colleges spread in Wad Madani and some of the cities of the state, and these colleges are represented in the Faculty of Sharia, College of Education, College of the Holy Quran in full, Faculty of Sharia in Hilal, and the College of Education basic stage Bud Madani.
On July 5, 2007, the President of the Republic announced the establishment of the University of the Holy Quran and the of science at a mass rally. On February 11, 2008, the President of the Republic signed the Law of the University of the Holy Quran and Taseel of Sciences after it was approved by the National Council at its 26th session of the fifth session on 6 Muharram 1429H corresponding to 15 / From January 2008, and became a scientific body with legal personality under this law.
For the sake of development and expansion, the University of the Holy Quran and Taseel of sciences established in addition to the faculties above the Faculty of Arabic Language in Al Managel, the Taseel of Economics and Administrative Sciences in Hasshesa, faculty in Al Housh , faculty of computor sciences in Ruffa the College of Society and the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research.
